Learn Africa Plc was incorporated in August 1961 as a book publishing company, established as a subsidiary of the renowned Longman Group (UK) Limited, now Pearson Education Limited, one of the world’s largest education businesses.
From inception, the company’s mission was to market and distribute imported Longman Group titles and to develop original content in English and indigenous languages to meet the growing demand for books in the Nigerian market.
Today, Learn Africa stands as Nigeria’s largest educational publisher, with over 5,000 titles and a workforce of 210+ staff spread across the country. Listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange since 23 July 1996, we hold the highest equity value in the publishing sector.
